Make-up: Dark Emerald // Maquilhagem: Esmeralda

English

Hello beauties,

Today I'm bringing to you this gorgeous look Spring inspired.
It's a Emerald toned make-up and it's super easy to make !!

Let's get started:

Step 1 - using a blending brush apply a soft brown to your crease, leading upwards;

Step 2 - Apply a coral pink eyeshadow to your crease leading downwards and to the outer corner of  your lower lash line (I didn't have an eyeshadow that fit perfectly to the vision I had, so I mixed 2 shades. I'll describe the products used moreover);

Step 3- Apply a golden brown pencil to your eyelid, to create a base for the eyeshadow;

Step 4- Apply the Emerald eyeshadow to your lid;

Step 5 - Highlight the zone under your eyebrow (your brow bone) with a light eyeshadow;

Step 6 - Apply the Emerald eyeshadow to the inner corner of your lash line;

Step 7- Apply a beige eye pencil to your waterline, to brighten up your eyes;

Step 8 - Line the upper lash line with a gel eyeliner;

Step 9 - Apply Mascara and/or Fake lashes.

And that's it !!

I hope you liked it !

Blue Smokey eye // Smokey eye azul

English

Hello beauties,

Today I'm posting a tutorial on this gorgeous blue smokey eye.

I found a easy way for beginners to make this, as it's not the easiest look to create.

Anyways, I was trying out new makeup and wanted to do a dark smokey eye, but for some reason it seemed incomplete. So I started adding this blue eyeshadow and this was the final result !!

With just a few simple steps I got this look.

So let's get started:

1-  Use a Jumbo black pencil to color your lid all the way until your crease;

2-  Apply a black eyeshadow on top of that black pencil;

3- Take a transition color (a soft brown) and blend it with the borders of the black eyeshadow;

4- Apply a blue loose powder from your inner corner to the middle of your eyelid;

5- Line your waterline with a blue eye pencil;

6- Apply mascara and/or false lashes;

And you're ready to go !

I hope you liked it !

1- Com um lápis preto grande pinte toda a pálpebra móvel até quase chegar ao côncavo;

2- Aplique uma sombra preta por cima do lápis;

3- Usando um pincel de esfumar e uma sombra castanha não muito escura, esfume os limites da sombra preta;

4- Aplique uma sombra solta azul no canto interno do olho e no centro da pálpebra móvel;

5- Com um lápis azul, pinte a linha de água inferior;

6- Aplique rímel e/ou pestants falsas;

E é isso !!

Espero que tenham gostado !

Spring is back and so are the pink lipsticks !!

Hello beauties,

Spring has arrived and the weather is getting warmer (yeey!!)

Therefore the colors you wear are different, as well as the colors of your make up.

 I've chosen 6 lipstick "pink" tones that I think are perfect for spring.

Lipstick #1
Sephora Maniac Mat lipstick nº3 and Gloss D'enfer nº 463 by Guerlain.

Lipstick #2

Kiko cosmetics Smart lipstick nº 904 - Strawberry pink

Lipstick #3
Lip pen by H&M in the color papaya punch

Lipstick #4
Kiko Cosmetics Velvet Mat Satin Lipstick nº 613 - Pink Carnation

Lipstick #5
Lasting finish lipstick by Rimmel in the color 202 - crush

Lipstick #6
For this lips I wanted a color matching my nails, so I mixed 2 lipstick colors. I applied my Color burst lipstick in the color 096 - Crimson by Revlon and then my Kiko cosmetics Smart lipstick nº 914- Amaranth

And that's it !!

I hope you liked it !

Gunmetal look

Hello beauties,

I'm posting an old look that I did a month ago.

I decided to get a little adventurous and add color to my crease with that red eyeshadow.

So let's get started:

1. Apply a red eyeshadow on your crease with a blending brush (I used 208 Mat Red infinite shadow by Kiko Cosmetics)

2. Apply a black eyeshadow on your lower crease (I used 'blackout from the Naked 2 palette)

3. Apply a silver eyeshadow on your lid ( I used Gunmetal from the Naked palette)

4. line your upper lash line with a gel eyeliner

5. apply a liquid eyeliner on top of the gel eyeliner to enhance it

6. line your waterline with a black eyeliner

7. Apply mascara

8. Apply Fake lashes

And that's it !!

I hope you liked it !

Getting ready for summer

Hello beauties,

It's already April, which means summer is just 2 and a half months away !!

This is thrilling for most but it can be a terror for a lot of girls (and boys) as they're self conscious about their body ! :/

I've been and still and one of those girls. I've learned to love myself and my body thanks to an awesome boyfriend who loves me for who I am and loves my body just the way it is. Since we started dating I've been more confident about myself.

Although I'm more confident it doesn't mean I'm 100% happy with my body. But let's face it, most people aren't.

But it's time to change this! Just because summer is so close it doesn't mean you're out of time to get the body you want !

Make no mistake, I do think everyone should love the body they have and no one should tell you how you're supposed to be, not even society. I just want to help who wants to get what people call "fit", if you don't agree with what I'm doing I respect your opinion, so I hope you respect mine :)

Please note that I'm not a nutritionist nor a person trainer, not even a professional. I'm going to tell you what's working for me on this journey.

So let's get started.

Point #1:
Exercise

I go to the gym at least 4 times a week for 1 hour.
I do everything from cardio to localized exercises to tone up.

I do cardio to improve my resistance and burn calories.
I do localized exercises to tone up.

Attention: sit ups won't make you lose weight or fat. They tone up your abs, but if you have fat on your belly, the abs will be under the fat and not visible.

For my cardio sessions I have two choices: either use the machines available in the gym (like the treadmill or the stationary bike) or join one of the group classes on my gym (like X-celerate - a 45 min. aerobics class -, body jam - a 50 min. hip hop class -, Cycling and air fit - a 50 min class where you do exercises on a trampoline).

For my localized exercises I go to a class named 'Made in Brazil' (which focuses on your buttocks and legs), I do sit ups, push ups, crunches, lunges and squats, or I simply use the machines in the gym for a specific part of the body.

Everyday, at least an hour a day, and within 4-5 weeks you will start to notice results.

For more information on exercises I recommend talking to a professional at your gym or, if you're not a gym person, check out this e-book with exercises: http://www.kaylaitsines.com.au

Point #2
Diet

Watch out what you eat.

This is the most difficult part of achieving your goal, as you can't always resist a snack here and there!

Well there's the problem, the snacks. Most times what we eat for our main meals isn't the problem. What's really keeping you from your goals is what you eat between meals.

A cookie here, some chips there, a sandwich before going to bed… that's what's the little fat you accumulate.

I'm not going to define a day by day meal, because each person has a different diet that suits them. But I will be showing you at the end of every week what I had that week for lunch, so you can have an idea of what I eat.

Just avoid sodas, juices and dairy products. I'm not saying to cut if off completely, because it's  not necessary.

Point #3
Water

I'm sure you've heard this over and over again, but it's true.

Water keeps you hydrated and that's good for you whole body, and it'll reduce your appetite if you add lemon or cinnamon.

Water can help control calories, it helps you to energize your muscles, it helps your kidneys and normal bowl function, it busts out toxins.. I could go on and on about the benefits, but it's easier to say that if you drink water you will benefit from it.

For now I'll leave these 3 point, but if I might be adding more info about this subject as the time goes by and I see more results.

Just to keep you motivated, I can proudly say that i've lost 4 kg (8.8 lbs) in the last 2 and a half months. I didn't lose more because I went on holidays for a whole month and my grandmother cooked for me everyday (so you can imagine what I had to eat) !

I really hope you achieve what you want and I believe you will, just keep your goal in mind and don't give up when it gets harder.

Remember: No pain, no gain !!

I hope you liked it !

Classic cat eye tutorial

Hello beauties,

This month I will be doing a lot of basic make up tutorials, from how to apply foundation to how to apply fake lashes.

Today I'm going to show you how I do my classic cat eye.

In three simple steps you will see how easy it is.

If you can't get it right at first don't worry. It happened to me too when I was starting in the make up world. So just relax, keep on practising and you will achieve what you want !!

So let's get started:

1- draw a line from your inner corner to your outer corner (or from your outer corner towards your inner corner - however suits you best).

2- draw a small line from your outer corner towards the end of your eyebrow, stopping whenever you feel is right. If you want a bigger wing then pull the line higher and if you want a smaller wing don't pull it so high.

3- connect the end of your first line to the end of your second line, creating a wave at the end of your eye.

And that's it !

Basically, the picture bellow says it all, but in case you have a question don't hesitate on asking it by posting it on the comment section or by sending it to my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/the50shadesofmakeup).
And don't forget to follow on Instagram (@the50shadesofmakeup)
