Silver Smokey Eye // Smokey eye prateado

Hello ladies,

As requested by a friend of mine I did a Silver smokey eye tutorial.

To make it easier to understand, I did the tutorial in a video and used pictures of each product to help you get an idea of what they look like.

This look is not difficult, but it involves a lot of blending (like any other look using a black eyeshadow).

A pedido de uma amiga minha, fiz um tutorial do smokey eye prateado.

Para ser mais perceptível, fiz o tutorial em vídeo e usei fotografias dos produtos usados para que vocês tenham uma ideia do tipo de produtos que usei.

Este look não é difícil, mas implica esfumar muito (tal como qualquer outro em que se use uma sombra preta).

Arabic eyes // Olhos árabes

Hello my beautiful ladies,

I am back for more make-up tutorials. Today, I'm bringing you an arabic eye tutorial.

I love this look. It's bold, it's sexy and it's mysterious !

This look is not as easy as the other looks, it's a little bit more advanced because it takes a lot of blending a black eyeshadow, which is the hardest color to blend.

But with some patience and dedication it'll get easier.

I did another video, this time with a better camera, but it still has a bad quality, so I apologize for that.

Estou de volta com os tutoriais de maquilhagem. Hoje, trago-vos uma maquilhagem árabe.
Gosto muito desta maquilhagem, porque é ousada, sexy e misteriosa.

Este look não é tão fácil como os outros. É um bocado mais avançado, porque envolve esfumar muito bem uma sombra preta, que é a cor mais difícil de se esfumar.

Get ready with me

Yesterday I had the Law School summer gala (It's like a University Prom) and I wanted a light, but pretty make-up.
Because my dress was pink, I decided to go with a pink eyeshadow. but you can replace that eyeshadow with the color of your dress.

.

For the hair, I did a Eva Longoria inspired up do. It was inspired in this hairstyle:

Products used: 1- stay don't stray eye primer by benefit;
 2- Buck from the naked palette, by Urban Decay;
 3- hustle from the naked palette, by Urban Decay;
 4- pink eyeshadow from the all over make-up palette by Dior;
5- dark brown eyeshadow from the all over make-up palette by Dior;
 6- Virgin from the Naked palette by Urban Decay; 
7- the white shimmery eyeshadow from the all over make up palette by Dior;
 8- gel intenza eyeliner by L'OREAL; 
9- black eye pencil from Kiko Cosmetics; 10- volumeyes+ by Kiko Cosmetics; 
11- dior show mascara by Dior.

Kim Kardashian inspired tutorial // Tutorial inspirado na Kim Kardashian

Hello ladies,

I've always wanted to do a celebrity inspired tutorial. So, when I finally did it, I felt very happy.
It was one of my favorite tutorials and this won't be the last. 

The celebrity I picked was Kim Kardashian, because she has her make up done by some the best make up artists in the world. She might have wardrobe issues but that never applies to her make-up. I've never seen a make-up malfunction on Kim K and just that was reason enough for me to pick her for my first celebrity inspired make-up tutorial.

The problem of choosing Kim K is that she has so many beautiful looks that I had some trouble when choosing my favorite. So, I picked one of the looks she wears the most: a dark golden smokey eye.
This is just like a normal golden smokey eye, but the golden eyeshadow is darker.

For this look, I used mainly eyeshadows from the Naked palette by Urban Decay.

Let's get started with the tutorial:

Step 1 - Take a golden brown shimmery eyeshadow and apply it on your entire eyelid and outer V.

Step 2 - Apply a bronze-plum shimmery eyshadow to your outer V and crease;

Step 3 - Using a soft brown and a blending brush blend everything on your crease starting from the outer corner;

Step 4 - Apply a black eye shadow to the outer corner of your eye, extending it a little bit to your crease, and blend it very well;

Step 5 - Use the first and the second eyeshadows on your lower lash line with a thin brush;

Step 6 - Draw a very thin line on your upper lash line and wing it;

Step 7 - Fill your waterline with a black eye pencil;

Step 8 - Apply Mascara to both upper and lower lashes and/or false lashes.


For the lips, I used a nude lipstick and a nude-pink lipgloss.

Bom dia, meninas,

Já há muito tempo que eu queria fazer um tutorial inspirado numa celebridade. Por isso, quando finalmente o fiz, fiquei muito feliz. Este é um dos meus tutoriais favoritos e como este haverão muitos mais.

A celebridade que eu escolhi foi a Kim Kardashian, porque ela tem acesso a alguns dos melhores artistas de maquilhagem do mundo. Apesar de ela, por vezes, se vestir mal, ela costuma ter, quase sempre, uma maquilhagem impecável. Eu acho que nunca vi uma maquilhagem nela que eu não tenha gostado e isso foi uma das principais razões pela qual eu escolhi a Kim K.

O problema de ter escolhido a Kim K é que, como ela tem tantos looks lindos, eu não sabia qual deles escolher. Por isso, escolhi um dos que ela usa mais: o smokey eye dourado escuro. 

Este smokey eye é como o smokey eye dourado normal, mas o dourado é mais escuro, quase castanho.

Neste look, usei muito as cores da paleta Naked da Urban Decay.

Vamos lá comçar:

1 - Aplique uma sombra dourada acastanhada com brilho em toda a pálpebra móvel e no canto externo do olho;

2 - Aplique uma sombra bronze puxada para o ameixa no canto externo no olho e no côncavo;

3 - Usando um pincel de esfumar e uma sombra castanha-avelã mate, esfume todo o côncavo, começando no canto exterior;

4 - Aplique uma sombra preta no canto exterior do olho e puxe para o côncavo;

5 - Usando as duas primeiras sombras e um pincel fininho, pinte os cílios inferiores;

6 - Faça um delineado muito fininho nos cílios superiores;

7 - Preencha a linha d'água com um lápis preto;

8 - Aplique rímel nos cílios inferiores e superiores e/ou pestanas falsas.

Nos lábios usei um batom nude e um gloss nude-rosa.

Red carpet inspired Make-up // Maquilhagem inspirada na passadeira vermelha

Yesterday, I had a little time on my hands and decided to do a red carpet inspired tutorial. 
The idea came when I was watching E! news and I noticed that they (almost) always look flawless on the red carpet. Not only that, they seem to have a lighter make-up, that looks like they just have mascara and an insignificant amount of eyeshadow. So, I went searching for red carpet make-up looks and it mainly involves red lips and big lashes !

Ontem, aproveitei o pouco tempo livre que tive para fazer um tutorial inspirado na passadeira vermelha. A ideia apareceu quando estava a ver o E! news e apercebi-me que elas parecem (quase) sempre perfeitas na passadeira vermelha. Para além disso, elas estão a usar uma maquilhagem mais leve, que dá a impressão de que apenas estão a usar rímel e uma quantidade mínima de sombra. Então, pus-me à pesquisar e cheguei à conclusão de que o look delas envolve, principalmente, pestanas grandes e lábios vermelhos.

Now, let's get started on the tutorial:

Step 1 - Apply a soft brown to your crease ( I used 'Buck' from the Naked palette);

Step 2 - Apply a pearly shimmery eyeshadow to your eye lid and the inner corner of your eye ( I used the lightest eyeshadow in the All over make-up palette by Dior);

Step 3 and 4 - Apply a brown shimmery eyeshadow on the outer corner of your eye and blend it towards your crease ( I used the dark Brown shimmery eyeshadow from the All over make-up palette by Dior);

Step 5 - Draw a thin line on your upper lash line and wing it;

Step 6 - Fill your waterline with a black eyeliner;

Step 7 - Apply mascara and/or false lashes;

Vamos lá ao tutorial:

1- Aplique uma sombra castanha clara ao côncavo ( Eu usei a sombra 'buck' da paleta Naked);

2 - Aplique uma sombra brilhante puxada para o pérola na pálpebra móvel e no canto interior do olho ( eu usei a sombra mais clara da paleta all over make-up da Dior);

3 e 4 - Aplique uma sombra castanha escura com brilho no canto exterior do olho e esfume em direção ao côncavo ( eu usei a sombra castanha escura da paleta all over make-up da Dior);

5- Faça um delineado fino nos cílios superiores e não se esqueça da asinha no fim;

6- preencha a linha d'água com um lápis preto;

7- Aplique rímel e/ou pestanas falsas.

Contour techniques // técnicas de contorno

Today we're talking about contour and highlighting !

What is contour ?

Contour is a technique used by make-up artists to enhance the facial features by highlighting and "darkening" certain areas of your face. 

There are different ways to contour. Some people prefer to contour before applying face powder with a contour stick and a highlighter pen. Others prefer to contour after applying face powder and eye makeup with a lighter powder and a darker powder. I mix these two ways. First I use the contour stick and the highlighter pen and when I'm done with my make up, I apply the powders, just to let the look more defined.

Contouring usually depends on the shape of your face:

I have a round face, therefore I prefer the first technique. I usually contour the zone under the cheekbone, the jawbone, the sides of the forehead and the top of forehead. Then, to thicken my nose, I contour the sides of my nose (as show in the picture bellow). When it comes to highlighting, I highlight above my cheekbone, the center of the forehead, between the cheekbone and the jawbone, and to thicken my nose, I highlight the middle of my nose:

After blending all that with a blending sponge (or beauty blender):

And applying face powder to keep it all in place, this is the result:

Just a note: after applying the face powder, I usually apply a darker powder (2 tones above my skin tone) over the areas where I previously contoured, to define it a little more. And over those areas I highlighted I also apply a powder, but this time, a highlighting powder.

Ladies,

Hoje vamos falar sobre contorno !

O que é o contorno?

Ora, o contorno é uma técnica utilizada pelos artistas de maquilhagem para acentuar as linhas da rosto, ao escurecer e iluminar certas áreas do rosto. Está técnica é muito utilizada para diminuir o tamanho do nariz e para tornar a cara mais elegante. 

Há dois momentos em que se pode fazer o contorno: antes de aplicar o pó, usando um corretor de olheiras escuro para contornar e um iluminador para iluminar; ou depois de aplicar o pó, usando um bronzeador e um pó iluminador. Eu misturo estas duas técnicas, para que o efeito dure mais.

O tipo de contorno depende da forma da cara:

(Formas: Round - redondo; Square - quadrado ; Heart - coração; Pear - pêra; Long - longo )

O meu rosto é redondo, por isso, prefiro a primeira técnica. Usando um corretor de olheiras escuro, contorno o maxilar, os lados da testa, o topo da testa, debaixo das maçãs da cara e os lados do nariz.

Quanto à parte iluminada, uso um iluminador no centro da testa, na zona debaixo dos olhos, na zona entre as maçãs e o maxilar, no queixo e no meio do nariz:

Depois, espalho tudo com uma esponja própria:

E depois de aplicar o pó e o resto da maquilhagem, este é o resultado:

Naked 3 palette tutorial // Tutorial com a paleta Naked 3

Hello beauties,

I've had my Naked 3 palette for a while now and I realized that I've never made a tutorial with it.

Now that it's spring time, I think it's the perfect moment to start using these pinkish eyeshadows.

Instead of describing step by step I wrote in the pictures where each product should be applied. Each product corresponds to a Step (example: Step 3, Product 3).

I applied adhesive tape to avoid the fall of eyeshadow on places I didn't want.

Every eyeshadow I applied belongs to the Naked 3 palette, except for the 'virgin' eyeshadow (Steps 7 and 8), which belongs to the Naked palette.

Minhas lindas,

Eu apercebi-me que já tenho a Paleta Naked 3 da Urban Decay há algum tempo, mas nunca a usei para fazer um tutorial.

Como é primavera, acho que estas sombras rosadas adequam-se perfeitamente à estação.

No tutorial de hoje, em vez de estar a descrever todos os passos, escrevi nas imagens qual o produto a aplicar em cada passo (Por exemplo: Passo 3, produto 3).

Tive de aplicar fita adesiva, porque estas sombras deixam muitos resíduos em sítios onde não quer maquilhagem.

Quase todas as sombras pertencem à Paleta Naked 3, à exceção da virgin (usada nos passos 7 e 8).
